System for Autonomous Navigation of Toy Car on a Race Track
Katrušák, Jaroslav ; Bidlo, Michal (referee) ; Šimek, Václav (advisor)
The goal of this project is the implementation of a system for autonomous control of a toy car model on a racetrack. First part of this project is a study of typical ways of laying out a racetrack for the movement of a model car and a follow-up study of possible ways of implementing the autonomous movement of the model on the racetrack. The next part is devoted to the hardware and software side of the implementation of the proposed system. The penultimate part presents the proposed system for obstacle detection, it's implementation and resulting properties. The last part of the project presents the final implementation of an autonomous model capable of independent driving on a set racetrack, reading signs and reaction to obstacle located on the track.

Gender labelling of toys in children of preschool age
Knapeková, Lívia ; Smetáčková, Irena (advisor) ; Sotáková, Hana (referee)
The bachelor thesis deals with preschool children's play in the context of gender. The theoretical part is divided into three main chapters. The first one is devoted to the essence of play and its function for the child, the second one describes the main areas of child development at preschool age and the last chapter is devoted mainly to gender socialization and role of play in it. The practical part has the form of semi- structured interviews, which aimed to find out the extent of gender definition of children at this age and how it is reflected in the selection of toys or during an imaginative play. The research results have shown that children at this age think about toys from a gender perspective, prefer toys designed primarily for their gender category and refuse gender-atypical toys. The research has also found that less than half of the children have a toy typical of the opposite gender category in their homes. Finally, this research based on the children's ideas about playing with typical girls' and boys' toys traces actions occurring during children's play with these toys. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Plays with toy cars and dolls from the perspective of the activity theory
Erhartová, Nikola ; Smetáčková, Irena (advisor) ; Sotáková, Hana (referee)
The thesis is focused on plays of preschool children with toy cars and dolls in kindergarten. The work is based especially on the activity theory. According to it the game is an essential activity of children and it has an influence on their development. Knowing that the game can be beneficial for children, I set as the main objective of the work to find out which actions with toys are performed and which areas they may develop. The work is divided into the theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part presents basis of the work. It contains four main chapters which deal with the preschool period, toy and play in a child's life and play from the perspective of the activity theory. The qualitative research is described in the empirical part. The main method for acquiring data was observation. I observed 30 plays total that were analyzed subsequently. Interviews were conducted as additional method. The research sample consisted of 15 children. On the basis of play analysis I have found out that toys were used individually or in the gender homogeneous groups. Gender mixed play was observed only in two cases during a play with car/train toys. Boys played both with car toys and dolls. Girls played with dolls, they did not choose car toys on their own. From the viewpoint of the play content the...
